You wake up one morning
Your life is so-so
You find yourself at a nearby café at 2 p.m.
You feel someone’s eyes on your left cheek
And you turn
And are greeted with a smile
Three years pass
You two are married with the first child expected any day

The still dazzling green eyes–
But then you are at her burial
